9) We are told that Jesus was a carpenter, but was he?
The idea that he was a carpenter depends on one single reference in Mark's Gospel: "Is not this the carpenter the son of Mary?"

But the Greek word 'tekton' and the underlying Aramaic word 'naggara' does not mean carpenter but more correctly translated "master builder or stone mason."

While we're on the subject, here are more examples of Phallic Worship in all of our favorite religions: Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism ... even in a prehistoric German cave.  "The more we change, the more we stay the same."
